Answers:

1)  What are Kleen Sheets?

Kleen Sheets are disposable covers designed to protect pet beds, furnishings and car seats from pet hair, dirt and stains.  Do you wash your pet bed covers in the family clothes washer?  We did, and we were tired of all the dirt and pet hair left behind in the washer and dryer.  Now, when your pet bed or upholstery cushions are covered in dirt and hair, simply dispose of Kleen Sheets in your recycling bin and start fresh with a new, clean sheet.

2)
Are Kleen Sheets available in different sizes?

Yes!  Kleen Sheets are available in large and small sizes.  The large size fits round, square and rectangular beds and cushions up to 44".  The large size is perfect for full-sized couches with two cushions, large armchairs, larger square, round or rectangular pet beds and split-bench or bucket car and truck seats.
Our small size
fits round, square and rectangular beds and cushions up to 32".  The smaller size is ideal for full-sized couches with two cushions, love seats, smaller chairs with removable cushions and smaller round, square or rectangular beds.  These two sizes fit the vast majority of all pet beds sold.

3)  How often should I change my Kleen Sheets?

We recommend
Kleen Sheets be replaced once a week on pet beds, especially if your pet is a "nester" and scratches a lot to prepare their bed before lying down.  This helps break the flea life cycle by regularly disposing of eggs that may have hitched a ride on your pet.
The same is true of Kleen Sheets used on upholstery, but if your pet only occasionally naps on the furniture, your Kleen Sheets can be replaced less frequently.

4)  Do I wash and re-use Kleen Sheets?

Kleen Sheets are designed to be used once and cannot be washed and re-used.
This also means that pet hair and dirt in the family clothes washer and dryer are a thing of the past.  Kleen Sheets are completely recyclable, and we urge you to dispose of used Kleen Sheets in your recycling bin for regular pick up.

5)  Are Kleen Sheets recyclable?

Kleen Sheets are completely recyclable.
Although they feel like cloth, Kleen Sheets are actually a type of non-woven material made from polypropylene plastic.  We urge you to dispose of used Kleen Sheets in your recycling bin for regular pick up.

6)  Does Kleen Sheets offer more colors and patterns?

Stay tuned to our Products Page.  Kleen Sheets has plans to offer a wider variety of colors.
The two sizes now offered cover the vast majority of cushions and pet beds.  If you have questions about your particular application, send us an e-mail on our website at Contact Us.

7)  Are there other uses for Kleen Sheets besides covering pet beds and upholstery?

Use Kleen Sheets anywhere that disposable protection is convenient.
  • Use Kleen Sheets to protect outdoor furniture.  Much better than cumbersome furniture drapes or having to store outdoor cushions when not using them, Kleen Sheets are comfortable to sit on for everyday use.  When company arrives, remove the covers to show off your beautifully clean patio furniture!*
  • Use Kleen Sheets to cover tender potted plants and protect them from early or late freezes.
  • Kleen Sheets are perfect for use in your car.  Using our large size, cover bucket seats and split bench seats to protect from dirt, pet hair and spills.
* Following a hard rain, it is best to remove Kleen Sheets from patio furniture and allow cushions to air dry.  This prevents mold and mildew that might occur in hot, humid areas.

8)  Are Kleen Sheets waterproof?

Kleen Sheets are water resistant.  Spills and pet accidents will sit on top of Kleen Sheets for an indefinite period of time.  It is best to blot spills without pressure.
An animal that is completely wet may soak through Kleen Sheets, but any mud, dirt and foreign debris can simply be lifted away and disposed of in your recycling bin.

9)  If Kleen Sheets are a type of plastic, do they feel like cloth?

Absolutely!
Kleen Sheets are very cloth-like!  This non-woven material is of the same type used throughout hospitals today.  You will never think "plastic" when touching this material.

10)  Why doesn't pet hair simply fall off of Kleen Sheets?

Kleen Sheets has a slight static charge that holds and retains pet hair.

11)
Will Kleen Sheets help keep flea eggs and larvae from getting inside the bedding and upholstery?

As reported in a study from Ohio State University about breaking the flea life cycle:

Wash or destroy pet bedding, regularly groom pets and vacuum frequently to remove up to 95 percent of flea eggs, some larvae and adults1.

Kleen Sheets help prevent flea eggs and larvae from getting a foothold in pet bedding and upholstered furniture.  Regular disposal of pet bedding prevents pests from completing their life-cycle to become adult fleas in your home.  An integrated approach to flea control that includes the regular disposal of pet bed coverings is the surest way to prevent infestation.  Kleen Sheets disposable pet bed covers are and integral part of a good pest management strategy.
